With consumers being encouraged to install solar panels to benefit from Government feed-in tariffs, a new industry of PV installers is spawned, and when undermining the integrity of a slate roof, the quality of repair is likely to be poor. Many installation technicians are not experienced roofers and are therefore not able to offer a quality repair or long term guarantee. The Hallhook is a permanent, secret and fail safe device that should be used when replacing a broken slate or after solar panel bracket installation. Fitted between two slates, the Hallhook prevents lateral movement and the upward biased spring remains in contact with the underside of the slate whilst disappearing between the two slates underneath.
Hallhook is discrete, plastic products are often visible and unsightly
Quick to install - metal fixings are time consuming and flimsy
No trimming of the slate required (as with some slate hooks)
